We are continuing with our series of answers to the question, “How does knowing we are priests in the Melchizedek order change what I do in my walk with Elohim?”
Please take some time this week to contemplate this 3rd point and ask the Ruach ha’Kodesh to help you apply it to your walk. As said before, there is more to each of these answers that deserves to be expanded on, but there is plenty here to think about as it is. These ideas can be found in just about everything we at TM produce, as you will notice if you are looking for it (and have been given eyes to see.) The Melchizedek distinction permeates pretty much every aspect of our ministry.
So, how does knowing we are priests in the Melchizedek order change what I do in my walk with Elohim?
NUMBER TWO: You’re going to walk in the freedom of knowing that you are dead already.
If you’ve mikvehed into Ye’shua, into His death...then you’re dead. The life you had before, the life you wish you’d had, the life you sometimes wish you had now...It’s all gone. You died to all of that under the water. You are no longer bound to any of that.
The only reason you live now (on the other side of your mikvah into his death) is because Ye’shua rose from the dead. You see, thankfully, YHVH provided a way for us to breathe again after we came up out of the water. He made a way so that we could be bound to Ys’shua in His death, and in His life. We are raised to life with Ye’shua, and the life we live now, we live to Elohim.
Ye’shua is our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. We are called to operate as priests in His Priesthood. Ye’shua’s death and resurrection has set us free to do that. Now we are free to do that without fear. We don’t have to fear the pull of our old life. We don’t have to fear the pressures from society around us. We don’t have to fear the judgement of others. We don’t have to fear the opposition or backlash of the evil one...because we are dead. We are already dead.
So with this understanding, you could say that your life is no longer your own. We who were once dead are now alive, and we owe it to Ye’shua. We are bound to Him. You owe your life to Him. Now you are going to be a slave, a bond-servant, to Ye’shua, because He paid the price for you. You are His.
Blessed be the Journey,
Isaac
