FEAR


1) And each stood in his place, round about the camp. And all the army ran and cried out and fled,

2) And all men of Israel, when they saw the man, ran from him and were in great fear.

And I give men in your place, and peoples for your life. “Do not fear, for I am with you. I shall bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west. “I shall say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth — all those who are called by Name, whom I have created, formed, even made for My esteem.”

256) Although a sinner is doing evil a hundred times, and his life is prolonged, yet I know that there is good to those who fear Elohim, who fear before Him. But it shall not be well with the wrong one, nor would he prolong his days as a shadow, because he does not fear before Elohim.

257) And besides these, my son, be warned — the making of many books has no end, and much study is a wearying of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind! Give me a man, and let us fight together.” And Sha’ul (Saul) and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, and they were broken down and in great fear.

260) And Israel and the Philistines drew up in battle array, army against army. David (Daveed) left his supplies, and ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers. And he was speaking with them and saw the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Golyath by name, coming up from the armies fo the Philistines. What do we do?” And he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us more than those who are with them.”

278) “Elohim does so to Abner, and more also, if I do not do for David (Daveed) as Yehovah has sworn to him: to cause the reign to pass over from the house of Saul, and to raise up the throne of Daveed over Israel and over Judah, from Dan to Be’ersheba.” And he was unable to answer Abner another word, because he feared him.

To this day they are doing according to the former rulings; they are not fearing Yehovah, nor do they follow their laws or their right-rulings, or the Torah and command which Yehovah had commanded the children of Jacob, whose name He made Israel, with whom Yehovah had made a covenant and commanded them, saying, “Do not fear other mighty ones, nor bow down to them nor serve them nor slaughter to them; but Yehovah, who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, and to Him you shall bow yourselves, to to Him you shall slaughter. “And guard to do forever the laws, and the right-rulings, and the Torah, and the command which He wrote for you. And do not fear other mighty ones. “And do not forget the covenant that I have made with you, and do not fear other mighty ones. “But fear Yehovah your Elohim, so that He delivers you from the hand of all your enemies.” And they did not obey, but did according to their former ruling. So these nations were fearing Yehovah, and served their carved images, both their children an their children’s children. As their fathers did, they are doing to this day.

2nd Kings 17:30-41


290) “But now hear, O Ya’aqob My servant, and Israel whom I have chosen. Thus said Yehovah who made you and formed you from the womb, who helps you, ‘Do not fear, O Jacob My servant, and Yeshurun, whom I have chosen. ‘For I pour water on the thirsty, and floods on the dry ground. I pour My Spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring, and they shall spring up among the grass like willows by streams of water.’
